Strategic Planning  

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for developing the Corporation’s proposed strategic plans, in light of emerging opportunities and risks and with a view to the Corporation’s sustained profitable growth and long-term value creation, and for implementing the approved strategic plans. The Board of Director’s is responsible for approving the long-term goals and objectives for the Corporation; and after considering alternatives, approving the strategic plans developed by the Chief Executive Officer. The Board of Directors also monitors senior management’s implementation of the approved plans; assesses the achievement of the Corporation’s goals and objectives; reviews and approves on at least an annual basis management’s financial plan; and reviews and approves any significant transactions and strategic capital management decisions regarding the Corporation.
